I have one single cylinder oil splash piston reciprocating compressor using a 1.5 h.p. I just went in the 1-1/2” pipe thread port on the ends of both of my air compressors. I have two air compressors connected with a 1-1/2” high temp 600 psi air hose with swivel fittings on each tank. By the time you get back from work you have enough oxygen to work for a couple hours a day. Yiummifbyou conpressorbhsdns max cycle of 39min, youbsmorogrsm everything to shut off and cool every 30min. air rarely hooked up to a reserve tank smaller than 40 gallons but typically an artist will have several reserve tanks, eaxhn80ngallons a piecee. Second, while glassblowing doesn't use quite as high a CFM that air tools do, making a piece can take hours, and the torch is running the entire time. Because the concentrators put out oxygen very slowly, a weak air compressor, typically in the range of 0.6 of a HP is needed to avoid damaging the oxygen concentrators by trying to compress the oxygen faster than they can make it. Especially since they're used in convention with propane and yet complete setups are available for sale by real made in the USA companies with a warranty. If this practice caused the compressor to overheat around that much oxygen m you could possibly level your house. Except instead of air theyre filling the reserve tanks with 95% pure oxygen from a medical grade concentrator. Setups like this using a 1 gallon 0.5hp compressor along with hundreds of gallons of storage tanks is very common in lampworking and flameworking, ie) glassblowing with flame instead of kiln. The more volume, the less PSl required to meet CFM demsnds. Going from 90-125 and back 5x a minute is bad A compressor works extra hard at higher PSIs. I don't know why you would remove the safety valve instead of just using a lead hose, and you shouldn't be using RTV instead of Teflon tape, but other than that its ok For those saying this will burn out your motor or have little benefit, it will actually prolong the life of your compressor because you choose the duty cycle with a relay.
